This blog is to record my journey to Southeast Asia. I will be leaving Saturday, May 23rd. I will be gone for six weeks, trekking through mountains and jungles and meeting the local people. I can't wait! While I'm there this will be a tool for me to communicate with everyone back home. I won't be able to communicate directly with anyone so your comments will be my source to the outside world. Encouraging words and thoughts will be much appreciated during this time. So, make sure to check back for updates soon.

Katy, I just wanted to let you know that we love you and miss you already! I have a few pictures of Senior Sunday on my blog if you want to stop by and take a look when you get the chance. Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteKaty...I'll be praying for you at 1:00pm (our time) every day this week...well, except Friday, someone else is praying for you at 1:00pm that day. We are thinking about you...hope your training is going good...maybe when you get back you can teach me Loashian(I have no idea if that's how you spell that, but you know what I mean.) We love you so much and miss you. FYI if you need a laugh you should really stop by Cameron Butler and Amber Rich's blog...it's hilarious! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Katy. Just wanted you to know that we are praying for you. Hope you are going well. I know God is going to use you in a great way over there.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you and can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.
David
Hey Katy Mo! We miss you and are praying for you. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteCamo and Amo
SAE BAI DI !!!!!! My precious Katy. I think of your and your traveling buddies and am in PR those several times a day and night (since I don't go to bed until late!). Your Father has you and your buddies in His hands, I know!!
ReplyDeleteTom and I talked about your inexperience and innocence. Your experience with the 'dead chicken' put me in mind of that. Of course, there is a 2 generation gap between us. I remember Ma catching a chicken, putting her foot on its head, and pulling until the head came off. Then she 'plucked it' (removed the feathers) and cooked it and we ate it. HAHA I won't go onto further detail for now.
I know you are enjoying the children very much. As ytou said, 'you are in your element'.
I think you get that from me!!! I love kids and enjoy them everywhere I go. I can see a baby in the car next to me and melt.
Bus rides!! Ugh!!
I'm not surprised that you went all the way on foot (or slid as the case may be). You have been GIVEN a great deal of stamima for your trip. Get me!!
When you get home, I'm going to get my hands on you and hug and kiss you half to death!!! Can't wait!!
I guess your trip is about half over, so we'll see you in about 3 weeks. I love you TOOOOO much!!!!!! Bob
Katy, It has been wonderful to read about your journey. What a wonderful opportunity to share the only true Love. I am so proud of you!
ReplyDeleteWe missed you at the reunion. It was fun as usual but had some missing pieces - you being one of them. It was a good weekend, though.
You are in my heart. My thoughts and PRs are with you. Much love, D
